Welcome to our Eco Page

Primary 3 enjoyed taking part in a Water Topic where they learned about states of matter, the water cycle, rivers, floods and treating water. They had a visit from WaterAid who told the children about the importance of clean water and that millions of children around the world have no access to clean, safe water, which can lead to them missing out on an education and leaves them vulnerable to disease. P3 enjoyed a 'Water Day' to celebrate their learning and to raise money for WaterAid. The children took part in lots of fun and exciting water games and activities. The children had a great time and raised £65!!! £2 is the cost of one metre of pipeline needed to transport clean, safe water to children across the developing world.
Well done P3!!! 😊

A good idea from Murrin P6G-she is asking us to recycle our old school uniforms. Murrin and Maisie asked all pupils at assembly and also wrote a piece for the newsletter. If you have any school items which are still in good condition, please send into school and we will recycle. Thank you in advance!

Thank you to all staff, pupils and parents who took part in our Spring Clean. We collected 10 blue bags of litter.

 (much less than last time).

ECO reps completed a litter survey on Tuesday 9 May before our whole school Spring Clean on Friday. We compared the results with the same survey we did in September. We are pleased to report that we have decreased the amount of litter in our playgrounds.

We are promoting Anti Dog Fouling this year. Classes took part in designing a poster. The winners were presented with a certificate and a book at assembly.

P1-3 overall winner is Sophie   P4-5 winner is Lucy P6-7 and whole school winner is Teigan. Prizes were chosen and presented by

Mr Richards and Mr Harper from Environmental Health. Look out for their posters around the school grounds.

Every class/stage in school has an Eco Responsibility. We are continuing with our eco programme to maintain our 3rd Green Flag status.
